Flax seed oil supplies a naturally-occurring balance of alpha-linolenic acid (omega-3) and linoleic acid (omega-6). These essential unsaturated fatty acids are important for healthy hair, skin, and nails, and as precursors for hormone production and anti-inflammatory prostaglandins. Flaxseed particulate containing protective lignan components is retained in the oil. Derived from organically grown flax seeds.

Because Essential Fatty Acids are easily destroyed by light and heat, our liquid flax seed oil has been mechanically cold pressed to avoid harmful peroxides and to maintain a smooth fresh taste. Our flax oil is the industry standard, Barlean's brand, and is derived from 100% certified organic flax seeds. Our Flaxseed Oil is processed to retain high lignan levels. By using the Barlean's Bio-Electron process the flax particulates (high in lignan precursors) is retained in the oil, offering nature's richest source of these valuable plant chemicals.
Suggested use: 1-2 tablespoons daily or as recommended by healthcare practioner.
