More information about Buffered Vitamin C
Some of the most severely ill, allergic or hypersensitive persons are able to tolerate this unique formulation when unable to tolerate other vitamin C products. Buffered C capsules have an acid-alkaline buffering action that can help control the increased acidity often associated with allergic reactions. In addition to its ascorbic acid, Buffered C capsules also supply potassium in a nutritionally-significant amount, together with the other macrominerals calcium and magnesium. Due to its generous complement of calcium, supplementation with Buffered C Powder may be desirable for individuals who do not regularly consume dairy products. Developed by Stephen A. Levine, Ph.D. Hypoallergenic. A study in the Journal of Epidemiology (May, 1992) was reported to show that people who have high blood levels of vitamin C live 6 years longer than those who have lower blood levels.
